The chakras are wheel-like energetic centers located within the body along the spine. They assist the body, mind and spirit to flow with consciousness. Every cell is considered to be conscious. When the chakras are not flowing well, neither are our physical bodies. A manifestation of illness or disease arises where the imbalance is, at any level of consciousness.
The chakra chambers align along the core of the body and although many think the chakras are located in the spine, when observing a map of the nervous system, there are nerve clusters called ganglia coming from the spine towards the core of the body at each level of the chakras. When the chakras line up from base to crown, there are two currents of energy, one that runs upwards from root to crown and the other from the crown down. When flowing without restriction, nirvana is achieved.
The chakra system is considered a map of personal evolution and the evolution of humanity. What happens on the inside of our body has a direct result to our outer experiences. Each of our seven chakras in body are receiving and exchanging an invisible vital life force energy externally with the Earth and our environment. The chakras are brilliant at understanding the energy it's receiving, storing it and expressing it.
The more a chakra is congested the less vital energy it’s able to absorb, resulting in physical symptoms. A leading cause of imbalance is related to the coping strategies to unpleasant or negative circumstances that we develop and practice throughout life. Time for chakra balancing.
